This is my third year with Theodore Roosevelt College & Career Academy. I received a BA in Communications and a minor in Business, from Loyola University of Chicago, in 1984.
I worked in the baking industry in various positions, for over 26 years. I lost my job in 2008, due to staff cuts. After I lost my job, I decided to work in education, which has always been a passion of mine. I worked as a Teacher Assistant, at East Chicago Urban Enterprise Academy, located in East Chicago Indiana. After 6 years, I was asked to become one of the two Special Education Resource room teachers, due to my enrollment in a Master's program for special education. I will be completing my program in early, 2019.
Special Education and advocating for diverse learners, is my passion! I want all of my present and future students to know, they can learn the same as everyone else!
